Lyman and Melva Selby of Emporia celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 12, 2009, with a dinner at their home with family and friends. Hosts were their children, Todd and Linda Crook of Olpe and Dutch and Connie Dunbar, Terri Torres and Jeff Selby, all of Emporia.
Their grandchildren are Dustin Crook of Lawrence; Jimmy and Chase Crook and Jessica, Jennessa and Jordan Selby, all of Emporia; Chelsea Dunbar of Duluth, Minn.; Whitney Dunbar of Seattle, Wash.; Jason and Brandi Rodriguez of Olathe and Matt and Melissa Torres of Wichita. The couple’s great-grandchild is Jeremiah Selby.
Lyman and Melva were married in Emporia.
The couple were hosts for an anniversary Caribbean cruise in January for their children and grandchildren.
