Cottonwood Falls Marty and Jim Tadtman purchased the store, an anchor in downtown Cottonwood Falls for more than 80 years.
The Tadtmans, who own propoerty south of the town, worked to restore the building and order new merchandise, according to a news release issued this afternoon.
"Once again, hats, boots, jeans, western-style clothing for men, women and children, as well as socks, underwear and belts, will be for sale as Jim Bell and Son once again stakes its claim as the clothier to those living the Western lifestyle," the release stated.
The store also will sell period and reenactment clothing.
Store hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Joining Jim Bell and Son is Bruce Brock boot and saddle repair, which has moved into the building.

Marvelous! Jim Bell and Son is a fixture in Cottonwood Falls. Let's hope Emporians will once again make the trip down there for their western wear needs.
