Seven area athletes and two area coaches will participate in the Kansas Shrine Bowl All-Star Cross Country Race on July 26 in Emporia.
Emporia High’s Tyler Anliker, Jacob Davies, Asher Delmott and Andrew Wayman, along with Northern Heights’ Pete Symmonds, will all run for the men’s East team.
Emporia’s Michaela Reynolds and Olpe’s Sharon Zeller will compete for the women’s East team.
In addition, EHS coach Mark Stanbrough and Olpe coach Tom Camien have been selected as two of the three coaches of the East squad.
Four teams of 15 runners each will compete in the event, and selections were made by the Kansas Cross Country Track and Field Coaches Association Executive Board.

Bloomquist, Webb selected for KBCA
All-Star Game
Emporia High’s Caydrick Bloomquist and Sadie Webb have both been selected for the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Game.
The two games will take place at 6 and 8 p.m. Aug. 6 at Topeka’s Lee Arena.
Bloomquist, a 6-foot guard, will play for the boys’ North squad. The 5-10 forward Webb, meanwhile, will play for the girls’ South squad.
A total of 48 athletes will participate in the All-Star games.
