Emporia AAAs fall 9-1 to Bartlesville

The Emporia AAAs ran into good hitting and strong pitching on Wednesday night, falling to the host team Bartlesville (Okla.) 9-1 on the first day of the Glen Winget Memorial Classic.

Emporia’s hitters had the toughest assignment, facing a pitcher from Bartlesville that threw last year at Northeast Oklahoma A&M Junior

“He was bringing it,” Emporia AAAs coach Aaron Lechien said. “He got ahead in counts, and that made it that much harder to hit.”
