EHS yearbooks
The 2008 EHS yearbooks are in and will be distributed from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday in the high school lobby. Books can be picked up in the office starting at noon Tuesday.
Grants to clean up property
Due to a possible grant opportunity, the City of Emporia is in the process of gathering input from owners of property within the city limits who are interested in receiving grant assistance to help pay for the costs of demolishing dilapidated structures. Grants would be available regardless of income and would require owners to contribute a share of the costs. Interested persons should call Jeff Lynch at 343-4285.
Hartford meeting
The Hartford Harvest Day committee will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the small community center to finalize a schedule of events. For more information or questions, call Bettina Shank at (620) 366-1015 after 5 p.m.
Revival schedule
The revival services at St. James Missionary Baptist Church continue at 7 p.m. today, Tuesday and Wednesday at the church. A supper will be served in Fellowship Hall after the service on Wednesday. The incorrect times were given to The Gazette for the notice published in the Church News column Friday.
