Rummage sale at Grace

The United Methodist Women at Grace United Methodist Church, 2 Neosho St., will have a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday with all kinds of goods offered for sale. Proceeds will be used for the church missions.

Country dinner

The Dunlap United Methodist Women will have the annual roast beef Country Dinner from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the church fellowship hall.

The menu includes roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, Jell-O salad, French bread, homemade pies, tea or coffee. Also, there will be a Country Store with baked goods, crafts and miscellaneous items for sale. Donations for the meal will be used for UMW projects.

Bazaar and soup supper

The Neosho Rapids Memorial United Methodist Church annual Bazaar and Soup Supper will begin at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

Tickets are $4 for adults and $2.50 for children. The evening includes games, a Big Country Store, cakewalk, baked goods, pie auction, quilt drawing and drawings for many items. There also will be a silent auction.

Yard and bake sale

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Men’s Auxiliary fundraiser will be a yard and bake sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 923 Graphic Arts Road. Items will include holiday decorations, books, craft items, dishes, clothes, tools, bicycle and many miscellaneous items, along with homemade “goodies,” said the press release.

Hot dogs and chili dogs will be sold after 10 a.m. Free coffee will be served while people shop.

Taco supper

Tickets to a taco supper are being sold through Oct. 27 by the Neosho Rapids PTO. The meal, to be served from 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 4 at the school, includes fried tacos, rice, chips and cheese, dessert and beverage.

Tickets, $6 for adults and $4 for children, can be purchased at Hartford High School, Hartford State Bank, Neosho Rapids Elementary School or any Neosho Rapids student.

Bad Ol’ Bern’s and ice cream

The Emporia Christian School will have a fundraiser from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Bad Ol’ Bern’s Barbecue and Ice Cream, 20 Commercial St.

Participants are to mention they are supporting the ECS fundraiser when they order. A percentage of the daily total will be donated to the school for the general fund to cover operational expenses.
