The Chase County Leader-News reported that the Chase County Board of Commissioners signed a contract with Sedgwick County to house inmates at the Chase County Detention Center. The board previously had been reluctant to contract with Sedgwick County because the county offered to pay a lower daily rate than Chase County had been able to get from others wanting to house inmates in Chase County.
