Darin Redeker, right, listens in court Monday afternoon while seated with his attorney, Michael Patton.
A former student teacher accused of sexual offenses against a student between 14 and 16 years of age has waived his right to a preliminary hearing.
Attorney Michael G. Patton, representing Darin Michael Redeker, waived the preliminary hearing on Redeker's behalf. Redeker appeared with Patton in Lyon County District Court Monday afternoon before Magistrate Judge Douglas Jones.
The judge accepted Redeker's plea and held an arraignment on the charges immediately afterwards. Patton pleaded not guilty to all charges on behalf of Redeker. The judge set the first pre-trial conference for 2 p.m. on July 17 in the court of Chief Judge Merlin Wheeler.
