Thursday afternoon was another example of what has cost the Emporia State soccer team all season: No offense.
The Hornets generated just one shot on goal in a 2-0 loss to Truman State at home.
“This is once again another game that really shows the positions of the personnel that we lack,” ESU coach Jim Schneiderhahn said.
Emporia State’s biggest strength is in its defense, which played another solid game on Thursday. Truman State (14-3-2, 13-2-0 MIAA) is one of the top teams in the MIAA, but the Hornets were one mistake away from being tied at half.
