Looking for family
Rhian Jones, Wales

In the 1880’s Thomas (Tom) Jones and his wife, Elizabeth emigrated from Carno, Montgomeryshire, Wales to Emporia.
I know that they had two sons, David (Dafydd) and Henry (Harry), but don’t know whether they were born in Wales or Emporia. Elizabeth Jones died in late 1888 or early 1889 and is buried in Emporia. Unfortunately the family in Wales then lost contact with Tom Jones and his two sons.
Next year, on May 8, a family reunion will be held in Carno, Wales, for all the descendants of the Humphreys family of Tyforris, Carno. Because Elizabeth was a daughter of this family, my wish is to inform any of her sons’ descendants about the event. If anyone reading this letter thinks they are related to the above, or knows of someone who may be related please will they get in touch with me by email at rhianlodge@googlemail.com or by post at Penymaes Lodge, Clocaenog, Ruthin Denbighshire, Wales. It would be wonderful if contact could be made with this branch of the family after so many years.
