The Americus Recreation Organization will sponsor a 5K run/walk and a 15-mile bicycle road ride for the Americus Days celebration Oct. 3.
Interested participants should contact any ARO member — Marcia Johnson, Tim Delcamp, Melissa Rich, Denise King or Josh Hamlin. Each entrant will receive a packet containing coupons and a T-shirt.
Fall soccer
Soccer games are scheduled for Monday evenings. The end of season tournament will be Sept. 27. The games are held on the soccer fields on the College Block in the northeast part of town.
Children’s IDs
The Masonic Lodge members will sponsor this activity beginning a 9 a.m. in the Lodge located at 551 Broadway, as part of the Americus Days celebration Oct. 3. Fingerprints and photos will be taken and given to parents or guardians.
Church services
Church services will be held in the park Oct. 4, as part of the Americus Days celebration.
The time will be announced at a later date. A covered dish dinner will be held following the service.
