Those wanting to see Emporia on national television can still tune into the USA Network at 6 p.m. tonight. But stories scheduled for tonight's NBC Nightly News and Thursday morning's Morning Joe program on MSNBC are postponed until Oct. 7.
Newsman Tom Brokaw visited Emporia on Aug. 30 for his documentary "American Character Along Highway 50." That documentary is scheduled for USA in January, but Brokaw has drawn individual stories from his interviews to use on other shows.

Am I correct that it will be between episodes of NCIS and not right at 6pm?

Absolute,
That is my understanding. When I went to set my TiVo, there are 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. episodes of NCIS. I guess I've never caught one of the "dispatches" to know how long they run.

Gwen, It is getting a little complicated. Could you just post the Emporia part on u-tube and provide a link to it so we can all see the broadcast at our leasure?

It was almost touching to see Ashley squeeze out a tear for the workers printing the last hometown issue. Perhaps the story should have covered the fact that Chris and Ashley are responsible for running the company into the ground. Hey Chris, maybe you shouldn't have spent so much time and money printing "Go Emporia" and "La Voz" and those workers wouldn't be wondering how to feed their families. I just hope Willy White has enough room in his grave to turn over.
