Children’s activities planned for Tallgrass

The Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve in Cottonwood Falls will celebrate Junior Ranger Day from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. April 26. Children of all ages may visit the preserve from 9 a.m. to noon to complete a new Junior Ranger booklet and Leave No Trace Scavenger Hunt. Upon completion of activities, children will be awarded a Junior Ranger badge, patch and certificate. A special awards ceremony will be at 10:30 a.m. in the barn. Read story.
