Auditors wanted for consolidation study

Proposals to audit the Emporia Police Department and the Lyon County Sheriff’s office are being taken by the local task force on law-enforcement consolidation. Auditors would be asked to look at the expenses and inventories of the two agencies and see whether any money could be saved by combining the two. Read story.
