A passenger sits on the grass near the vehicle in which she was riding Wednesday, after a brief chase by law enforcement ended in a one-car accident. The driver of the vehicle, whose identity was not yet available, apparently lost control of the car and drove over the curb and into the grass in the 10 block of Cottonwood Street. Emergency medical technicians with the Emporia-Lyon County Ambulance Service tended one person at the scene. No one was taken to the hospital.
