Patrick Kelley started work at The Gazette on Sept. 13, 1966. He has been a photographer, reporter, wire editor, city editor and managing editor and is now the editorial page editor. He has won state and national awards for his editorials.
Patrick was born in El Dorado, grew up in Junction City and graduated from Emporia State University. During basketball season, he bleeds KU crimson and blue when he gets a paper cut.
His other hobbies are photography, computing and reading — histories and mysteries.
Patrick and his wife, Lynn Bonney, are the parents of a son, who lives on the West Coast with his wife and two sons.
